WebJan 1, 2024 · We used NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) to observe Phobos and Deimos. We collected spectra of these two satellites with the near-infrared (NIR) prism (0.7–2.52 μm) and long-wavelength cross dispersed (LXD: 1.9–4.2 μm) modes of the SpeX spectrograph/imager at IRTF ( Rayner et al., 2003) on the nights of 14, 15, 16, and 29 …
WebAn autonomous infrared slit viewer is used for object acquisition, infrared guiding, and scientific imaging in the wavelength range 0.8-5.5 μm. The imager employs an Aladdin 2 512×512 InSb array that covers a 60 '' ×60 '' field of view at 0.12" pixel -1. SpeX was successfully commissioned on IRTF during 2000 May, June, and July. WebWe present eight new 0.8 to 2.4 µm spectral observations of Neptune’s satellite Triton, obtained at IRTF/SpeX during 2002 July 15– 22 UT. Our objective was to determine how Triton’s near-infrared spectrum varies as Triton rotates, and to establish an accurate baseline for comparison with past and future observations. Webcollection: document collection for the "FIEBER-BEYER IRTF MAINBELT ASTEROID SPECTRA" bundle This is the document collection for the gbo.ast.fieber-beyer.spectra bundle. The data set contains observations obtained with the NASA IRTF SpeX instrument covering the 0.7 to 2.5 micron near-infrared portion of the spectrum.
