X-ray diffraction (XRD) as well as X-ray mapping in a scanning electron microscope were used to characterize the oxidation behavior of the samples. Moreover, a MoO 2 middle layer and an interlayer composed of Mo ss and SiO 2 also appeared below the scale, as being presented in Figure 1 f–h.
