WebHB 462, Utah Housing Affordability Amendments By October 1, 2024, the Snyderville Basin and Eastern Summit County General Plans must be amended to include a new “Moderate Income Housing Element,” which requires: 1. A realistic opportunity to meet the need for additional affordable housing in the next 5 years; 2. WebHB 462 made significant revisions to the moderate income housing element in the state code. Through this legislation, greater clarity as well as new strategies were outlined as options to be used within moderate income housing plans. The requirement for such an element as well the reporting of progress on moderate income housing was also amended.
